“PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT CHALLENGES” was the topic of Monday’s IBSing Pioneers call.
PERFORMANCE refers to how well an activity or job is done.
On discussing the topic “HIGH-PERFORMERS” and what we admired most, we came to the conclusion that “INTRINSIC MOTIVATION” is the key to excellent performance. The traditional “carrot and stick” approach that is still being used today in the workplace to motivate teams and improve performance, is outdated.
S&OP/IBP combined with IBSing is a promising alternative to drive organisational and team performance.
In the breakout sessions the following “performance management” 𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑳𝑳𝑬𝑵𝑮𝑬𝑺 have been identified and insights were shared on how to master them:
-Setting the RIGHT GOALS, which are motivating, in keeping with the organisational objectives and aligned to other functions.
-Ensuring full LEADERSHIP SUPPORT
-Balancing OPERATIONS and STRATEGY
-Importance of INTEGRATION and STANDARDISATION
-Fair and relevant EVALUATION and RECOGNITION Programs
-Relevant TRAINING & Effective COACHING
-Proper MINDSET & Empowering CULTURE
Thanks Silvia for the great preparation of the session and all S&OP/IBP practitioners for the insightful and inspiring discussions!
